Bongo Adi, a Nigerian, is a PhD student at the University of Tsukuba, Japan and a visiting lecturer to Reitaku University, also in Japan.

Timothy T. Ajani was educated at the University of Florida, the Université de la Sorbonne Nouvelle, Paris, France, and the University of Ifè, Ilé-Ifè, Nigeria. He is Assistant Professor of English at the Fayetteville State University, North Carolina, USA.

Abdul-Rasheed Na'Allah, poet and scholar, is Chair of the Department of African American Studies, Western Illinois University, USA.

Samantha Newman is an Albion College undergraduate and a research fellow of the Foundation for Undergraduate Research, Scholarship, and Creative Activity.

Mwatabu S. Okantah is Assistant Professor of Pan-African Studies at Kent State University, Kent, USA. He is the Department’s Poet in Residence and Director of the Center of Pan-African Culture. His Published work includes: Reconnecting Memories: Dreams No Longer Deferred (2004) & Cheikh Anta Diop: Poem for the Living (1997); online at TimBookTu.com & Africaresource.com—click onto “Voices.” He is a Performance Poet and leads the Muntu Kuntu Energy Ensemble and also performs in an ongoing collaboration with the Cavani String Quartet.

Sanya Osha holds a doctorate in Philosophy and works at the Centre for Civil Society, University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. His most recent publications include a book, Kwasi Wiredu and Beyond: The Text,Writing and Thought in Africa (CODESRIA, 2005) and a major study of the Ogoni crisis, "Birth of the Ogoni Protest Movement" in the Journal of Asian and African Studies.

‘Dimeji Togunde obtained his Ph.D. degree in Development Sociology from Cornell University. He is currently an associate professor of sociology and chair of the Department of Anthropology/Sociology at Albion College, Albion, Michigan, USA.
